Volyn Regional Council Chairman Hryhoriy Nedopad and Regional Council deputy Olha Omelko, in cooperation with Polish patrons, handed over the actual cargo to the Old Town Lutsk charity foundation, which is preparing a humanitarian mission to the disaster area.

This was reported on the Facebook page of the Volyn Regional Council.

The cargo includes medicines, personal hygiene products, care items for children and bedridden patients, diabetic food, long-term storage products, air mattresses, summer rubber shoes, and more. The head of the regional council, Grigory Nedopad, noted that the day before he had talked to colleagues from the southern regions, so the humanitarian aid was collected specifically for the stated needs.

Larysa Novosad, head of the Old Town Lutsk charity foundation, said that this weekend a whole convoy of aid will be heading to the South. It will include not only Kherson and surrounding communities, but also Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia regions, where people are being evacuated from the disaster zone and where flooding is also being recorded in some places. In addition to medicines, hygiene products, food and drinking water, the cargo is also equipped with water purification filters, boats, pumping equipment and animal feed.

"I once again admire our Volyn people. We have not announced a collection of aid for Kherson residents, but people are always coming with something. Just now, a father and son brought a motorboat, and another benefactor brought a pump for pumping water. As always, our charitable foundations, volunteer organizations and chaplains have made a strong contribution to the humanitarian mission," said Larysa Novosad.
